Following the theme of Heimler and Proc’s 2018 series and exhibition 'On the Road', a tribute to major New Zealand artistic figures. With 'Between' the central figure is not a celebrated artist but an ordinary human who finds themselves deciding between the sea and the road, between the unpredictable open horizons of the ocean or the known and safer route of the road.
