Now And Then - Paul Vincent

11 March - 5 April

Paul Vincent is a Wellington based artist who has been referred to as The King of Quirk. He is famous for his 'Blah Blah Blah' series and his work has been sold all over the world. Paul likes to paint the spontaneity and randomness of everyday life. 'Painting for me is the cat's tail flicking around the corner' Paul has been successfully exhibiting his paintings with numerous group and solo shows in Wellington and Auckland.

In Now and Then Paul's love of Henri Matisse is a predominant theme; influenced by the cut out last works of Matisse, Paul has borrowed and adapted these in his own distinctive style. The show explores another new avenue,  contemplation on the beginning of the universe and also revisits past musings, particularly storytelling of life's trials by one of Paul's favourite creations, his 'monsters'
