Graham Young - A Journey Through Summer
Graham Young's exhibition is on until the end of this weekend. It's had a great reception from visitors. If you haven't seen it now is the time to visit. We also have Graham's 2025 art calendars in the gallery.
Graham is a Waihi Beach based artist who for over 20 years has been painting our beaches, summers and old quirky architecture. This series was born from a road trip around the country and these fabulously crafted paintings evoke happy memories of summer days and holidays.

New Art - New Art
Christmas is apparently already just around the corner and Samantha Qiao has in a timely manner visited her old home town of Wellington and delivered a set of framed limited edition prints and original watercolours featuring the capital. All would make good gifts. Iwen Yong whose September exhibition in the gallery was a big hit has provided three new paintings, two South Island high country scenes and a Wellington south coast painting that many visitors have picked out as a favourite. His most recent work, Summer Days I think is an excellent artwork, really capturing a summer's afternoon, is not in the gallery yet. Thanks Peter Augustin for two new fun, quirky and elegant watercolours with Peter's distinctive trademark exuberance and flair for colour.

One Year AnniversaryOctober is the first anniversary of the KAH Gallery's move to the new location at 225 Cuba St. To mark this auspicious occasion, bring cake! Or as an alternative, you could make use of a birthday offer, available for the coming weekend. If you've been thinking about a painting, then for Gallery Friends (ie you) $200 off any art over $2000 and $150 off anything between $1000 and $2000. For art below $1000, we can negotiate! |
Thanks and I hope to see you in the gallery soon.
kind regards
