Alice in New Wonderland

The painting, set up in Pukerua Bay, represents a new form of Alice dressed in fashion of the 70s with the Kapiti Island in the background. As in the story of Lewis Caroll, with reference to its engravings she is chased by the white Rabbit on one side and by the Queen of Heart from the other. Her only chance to escape from the the new dream land is to fly away on albatross's wings. She leaves the delicious treats but keeps a lover's rose in her hand. It is a pictorial approach to a girl's adulthood.
